Building the backbone of the EV ecosystem

Our journey in EV infrastructure

At Niyata, we’re building the digital backbone of the EV ecosystem, one that’s interoperable and built for scale. Since 2020, we’ve focused on enabling seamless communication between EV charging stations and the systems that manage them.

Our work spans the entire electrification stack from implementing the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) to integrating Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), to developing a powerful Central Station Management System (CSMS). These components form the core of any modern charging network.

OCPP, a globally recognized standard, allows different charging hardware and software systems to work together. EVSE forms the physical layer—the connected, intelligent equipment that delivers power to vehicles. And CSMS is the brain of the network, enabling operators to monitor, manage, and scale infrastructure with confidence.

By combining protocol expertise with system-level thinking, Niyata helps OEMs, infrastructure providers, and regulatory bodies build networks that are secure, flexible, and ready for the road ahead.

Seamless EVSE integration

Niyata plays a crucial role in making Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) smart, secure, and fully integrated into the charging ecosystem. We enable EVSE to communicate reliably with backend systems, unlocking real-time insights and remote control. Our solutions ensure that OCPP-compliant EVSE can seamlessly connect to our Charging Station Management System (CSMS) using secure, registry-approved channels. This allows operators to monitor sessions, push firmware updates, and manage configurations from a central platform, regardless of the charger’s make or model.

This enables:

With Niyata, EVSE becomes more than just charging hardware, it becomes an intelligent, connected node in a larger, future-ready network.

Advancing with OCPP 2.0

Niyata’s Charging Station Management System (CSMS) has been developed in line with OCPP specifications and rigorously tested at global Plug Fest events. These events bring together leading players in the EV industry, and our solution has consistently proven its reliability and interoperability.

Our system supports advanced OCPP 2.0 features such as:

Through OCPP 2.0, we enable smarter, more secure networks that adapt to real-world operational needs.

Central server management

A robust backend is essential to manage a growing network of charging stations. Niyata’s Central Station Management System (CSMS) offers a unified platform to oversee and control charging infrastructure with ease and precision.

Key capabilities include:

Our CSMS is built for high availability, security, and scalability, enabling charging network operators to grow confidently while maintaining operational excellence.

Looking ahead

At Niyata, we remain committed to supporting the rapid expansion of electric mobility. Through ongoing innovation and collaboration, we continue to deliver secure, standards-compliant solutions that empower the future of EV infrastructure.
